My dear friends, I hope that I am welcome to state my opinion here in your site just as I hope that you all feel welcome to exppress you views and opinions in Serbian site and forums!
I have read through all of the responses to the initial post made by Den Ulv and I have to admit that they fill my heart with with sadness!!! I am very sorry to see that a post made by a deranged person who most probably suffers from a complex of lower value and does not have any selfconfidence what so ever has been taken as a benchmark on the atitude and view of the Serbian nation in general!
I am a very proud Serb who has sought truth and justice all his and I can firmly state that I have never in my entire life read or head of a Serb give such an opinion and I feel very sad that the view of a semi-educated Nazi site member who unfortunately happens to be a Serb at the same time has been taken as representative of the way Serbs percieve and what they feel towards the Greek nation. Furthermore, I am very sad to read that many Greek members that have posted responses to to this deranged view, which has no basis in reality feel that the Greek nation is alone in this world!
I do not want to go into an indepth historical analysis of the Serbo-Greek relations because I think we are all aware of mutual history since the settlement of the Slavic tribes and the acculturation that took place and strengthened, not only strategic but also the spiritual alliance...I think that we all feel the traces of that alliance even today, after so many centuries of mutual suffering, pain and the destructive attitude and campaigns that have been lead primarily against your nation and then against the Serbs as the only true allies you have ever had!
Unlike most people who do not possess a minimum of knowledge of historical and geostrategic issues, who due to that reason call apon false facts of fabricated nations ( the so called Macedonians of the FYRM) and relations ( Serbo-Bulgarian, and the PanSlavic alliance for instance) I know my history very well and knowledge brings a certain amount of responsibility with it!
I will only make a few points that I strongly support and if anyone would like to discuss them further, I will be very glad to participate in the discussion...
1. Pan Slavisam - an imperialistic but at the same time, unrealistic ideology that was constructed in order to mobilise the support of the Slavic nations with the purpose of supporting Russian emperialisam! Slavs might have been one nation with mutual characteristics 2000 years ago, but today, here are more differences among the SLavic nations than there are inbetween some Slavic nations and their neighbours ( The Poles and Germans, the Croats and the Austrians, the Serbs and the Greeks, and etc.) Pan Slavisam is a movement that failed in the Balkans because it was percieved in its true light, the instrumental purpose it was invented for...to build the first lines of the army that would promote and accomplish Russian startegic interests!
2. The so called Macedonian nation has never existed nor will it ever exist ( refer to Jovan Cvijic, the most renouned Serbain ethnologist and his book The Balkan Peninsula)
3. Bulgarians and Serbs have never in the histories been friends nor allies and I would go as far as to say that the Bulgarians are percieved pretty much just like the Turks, Albanians and Hungarians by the majority of the Serbs.
4. The division of Macedonia inbetween Serbia and Greece was aimed at opening a communication frontier inbetween the only two true allies in the Balkans that have never had any pretentions over each other!
5. I doubt that Karadjordje Petrovic ( who was a very good friend of Rigas Fereas) would ever get a street of his own in the centre of Athens if he had ever stated such a thing!

These are just some of the arguments I have to offer together with my sincerest appology for what I regard as an ultimate disgrace ( the cited post) to my nation and I do hope that it will not influence anyone`s views on the true Serbian perception of the Greeks, esspecially today when we are faced with one sided propaganda aimed at destroying the concepts, ideals and traditions our nations are founded on!
Best wishes to u all!
