Lebanon-- Doctors have operated on a guy to remove 39 metal and plastic knives, forks, spoons and even lighters which he swallowed over one year. What finally put him over the edge and to the hospital? He swallowed a piece of water pipe last week.
Amarillo, Texas-- Police found $14,000-grand on a man they suspected of smoking marijuana, including more than $8-grand hidden in his butt. I love the clarification from the cop: he said, "That's 80 $100 bills," I guess that hiding place wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
Marlington, West Virginia-- A rather unusual recipe in the annual wild game cookoff contest: Squirrel Scrotum Stew. Described as kind of a chewy, nutty taste.....
New Ashford, Massachusetts-- The town Clerk opened the polls for a recent state primary election-- and sat there, alone, for the entire 14-hour stretch. After no voters came in to cast a ballot, he decided not to bother himself. His quote: "Why the hell should I vote? Nobody else did."
Chicago-- A couple who bought a sport utility vehicle got extras they didn't even know about. The windows wouldn't go all the way down so they took it in to be looked at. Mechanics found nearly 50 pounds of marijuana stashed in the seats and side panels. Apparently that was the new "Ford Inhaler" model.
Dallas-- A guy was filming a public service movie on "The Dangers of Low-Level Bridges" when the truck he was standing on passed under a low-level bridge...killing him.
Idaho-- A University of Idaho freshman suffered fractured vertebrae, abrasions and severely bruised butt when the dorm window that he was mooning a group of friends through shattered. Here's the kicker: The young man and his parents sued the school for $470-thousand dollars per cheek.
Friday, November 1, 2000
Southfield, Michigan-- A guy tried to hold up a bank with a rather unusual weapon. He was holding a bar of soap with wires sticking out of it, trying to pass it off as a bomb. He had it in a bag with a note that he put into the tray at the drive-thru window and waited. The teller walked away from the window without noticing the bag. Police said the cashier was unaware there was a robbery attempt going on...so the guy simply drove off, frustrated.
Waterloo, Iowa-- A man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a sheep at a farm run by college students. Students discovered the guy naked in a hayloft. A ewe- a female sheep- was tied up in the corner, with, get this, a blue nightgown next to it. Sounds like it was a special night.
Maryland-- A man has been tricking women into taking their shoes off so he can suck on their toes. The first incident was reported to police by a woman who says a man approached her in the hallway of a hotel. He claimed his wife had sent him out for pantyhose, and he needed information about the different toe styles. He asked the woman what kind she wore. "Sandal toe," she said, kicking off her shoe to illustrate. The cop on the case said, "the next thing you know he's sucking of her toes...he just had the pigs in his mouth."
China -- A man has escaped a lengthy jail term- because he was left alone in the courtroom after he was convicted. No one took him anywhere, so he walked out and rode his bike home.
Prague-- A Czech couple run over by a tractor during an amorous moment in a field. They picked the place because it was dark and peaceful, but not for long. The driver of the tractor took a short cut through the field on his way to a party, riding over the woman's chest and the man's buttocks. I guess he was a mission-ary.

Irvine, California-- Two guys fighting....one's got the other in a headlock. He pulls out a gun and shoots him in the face. But the bullet passed through the target's cheek and into the shooter's own chest, killing HIM instead.
Framingham, Massachusetts-- Patience was definitely not a virtue for this burglar. He first broke into the store, but returned to his truck to retrieve something and let the door close behind him so he had to force his way back in. Next, he pushed and pulled on the cash machine but couldn't break in, so he got back in his truck and rammed the store and the ATM. When he still couldn't get in, he threw his arms up and walked out empty-handed.
Syracuse, New York-- Car chase with a twist...the guy was pretty easy to catch...the cops say that's because during the entire half-hour chase the guy never failed to use his turn signal before making a move. Said the officer, "We knew exactly where he was going."
Swaziland -- A school had to be closed after two goats invaded a classroom and mated in front of pupils. As the classroom erupted into catcalls and applause, an angry teacher tried to cane the pupils into silence resulting in a boycott. Let's see 'em try that out at Tosa West!
Los Angeles, California-- It's for real...The Church of the Holy Body- where the entire congregation comes to mass in the nude. Peace be with you...whooooo.
Missouri --A confused deer jumped into the bed of a woman in a nursing home. The residents of the Indian Hills Retirement Village had just eaten their breakfast when the deer appeared. It ran into the room, jumped in the bed and cut the woman. The deer then got out of bed and walked around the halls complaining about bingo starting late.

Wheeling, West Virginia -- A guy wanted to be the life of the party. After another party animal had unsuccessfully tried to make a blasting cap explode, this guy decided to show how it was done.
With the cap firmly in his mouth, the drunk bit down, triggering an explosion that blew off his lips, teeth, and tongue.
Berlin -- A drunken man died at the wheel of his family car after criticizing his wife's driving so much that she decided to get out. The 30-year-old man sped off alone after the fight but rolled his car soon afterwards when he took a corner too fast. He died at the scene of the crash.
Madrid -- A Spanish stuntman fell to his death in front of film cameras while attempting to enact a suicide leap from a bridge. My favorite line of the story? "The actor leapt from the viaduct wearing a safety harness, which apparently failed." APPARENTLY failed?!
La Salle, Colorado -- A farmer, tired of the low prices he gets for the corn he grows, so instead of harvesting any more, he decides to cut a 10-acre maze in his field for Halloween visitors. He found that so many tourists want to walk through it he's making more money from this deal than from selling corn.
South Africa -- A 3-year-old woman took a bite out of crime ... literally. She bit off the tongue of her attacker, as he tried to force it into her mouth. She then ran to the nearest police station with the guy's tongue chunk in her mouth. The suspect arrived a few moments later with blood pouring from his mouth, hoping to receive medical attention and was arrested immediately.
He got his medical attention, but it was not possible to have his tongue sewn back on ... so police said the tongue would be kept and used as evidence.

Tampa, FL -- From an alley, a burglar climbed to the roof of a convenience store and cut a hole in the roof to break in through. He botched the job, however, and fell through the ceiling on top of a coffee pot.

She went to her local zoo, stole a camel and took it back to her house. One problem: the camel was male.

One problem:
They forgot to remove their work ID badges during the robbery.

Well, he asked them all, but the refused, to check him for prostate problems without a medical reason for doing so.
Ohio -- A guy was dealing with the death of an uncle in a rather unusual way.
Before dropping off the body at the funeral home, he decapitated it with a hacksaw and carried the head away, presumably to fulfill a religious belief that he could bring the uncle back to life by ... eating the brain.
Cincinnati, Ohio -- Emergency crews had to rescue a parachutist after he jumped off the 49th floor of the Carew Tower, the tallest building in Cincinnati.
A witness said, "He did two flips and then he snagged on the corner of a nearby hotel and then he swung around and smacked into the building."
Two words:
Ouch.

He got halfway across by driving on the unpaved I-beams making up the bridge's structure before his pickup truck dropped between two of the open beams, falling 35 feet to the ground below.
A sheriff's spokesman noted 'alcohol was a factor' in the crash. You think?

When the driver didn't immediately exit the car, the patrolman went back to see what's up. The guy said, I'm just waiting for the light to change, officer."
Can you say 'driving under the influence' ticket?
West Virginia -- A guy arrested for petty larceny - accused of stealing a VCR from a house.
**Remember that this charge is a misdemeanor offense because the property in question was valued under $200.00.
When the guy was transported to court for arraignment he was, of course, asked how he was going to plead and why he wished to plead that particular way. This is exactly what he told the Judge: "I plead NOT GUILTY Judge, honestly, I didn't steal the VCR. He gave it to me because he owed me for crack cocaine."
Friday, September 8, 2000
Ocean City, MD -- A 23-year-old guy had the hiccups and just couldn't get rid of them. Finally, he asked his friend to punch him in the chest.

When officers got to the end of the dock, there was the escaped prisoner screaming to be saved. He forgot he couldn't swim.
Charleston, SC -- A guy pulled his car next to a cop car and asked to speak. During the conversation he pointed to a car and said that he clocked the driver of the car doing 55 in a 30 mile speed zone. He demanded the cop issue a ticket.
The cop did . . . he wrote a ticket to the man talking.
Two reasons: First, the man admitted clocking the speeding car, which is only possible if he himself were engaged in speeding, and two, because the car in question was an unmarked police car responding to a call.
Oops.
Kansas -- A man walked into a liquor store, pulled a gun, and said, "Give me everything in the register."
The clerk told him there was no money in the register.
The would-be robber replied, "That's okay, there are no bullets in the gun. I was just kidding." And he ran out the door.
Friday, September 1, 2000
Aspen, CO -- Hunter Thompson was trying to shoo a bear off his property. Pulling a 'Bob' Knight, he tried firing a shotgun at it. He missed.
He did, however, manage to hit his assistant, Debra Fuller, though she was only slightly injured.
Anyone else find it funny that his name is 'hunter'.
Fairhaven, MA -- Story goes a 65-year-old lady was zapped by lightning that threw her off the ground about 12 feet and into the bed of a pickup truck.
The most amazing part is that she was not seriously injured.

She dropped her shopping bags and drew a handgun out of her purse, and screamed at them:
"I have a gun and I know how to use it! Get out of the car you scumbags!"
They got out and ran. The lady, somewhat shaken, proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and get into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried and then it dawned on her why.
A few minutes later she found her own car parked four of five spaces farther down.

Once inside, the man decided that he did not want the truck anymore, because it was somewhat full of bullet holes.

Clarksville, TN -- The city had to petition a federal court to overturn a recently-passed city ordinance.
The city council intended to prohibit operators from engaging in sex on the premises of the store by apparently left out the words "on the premises," thus prohibiting the owner and his employees from having sex anywhere.

East York, PA -- Shoppers at the Wal-Mart were a bit startled to see the store's "Back To School" sale included shotgun shells. A full variety was offered, from small game loads to skeet rounds.

Chesterton, IN -- Cops responded to a call of a suspicious man in a gas station bathroom. When they got there, they couldn't help but notice the odor of glue.

Somewhere off the Mexican coast -- A giant swordfish hooked by a guy jumps into the fisherman's boat and stabs him right through the stomach. The marlin's spear pierced the fisherman's abdomen and came out the other side. The guy ends up drifting for two days in his boat, unable to get up, until another vessel rescued him. A whole new definition of 'sail' boat.
Omaha -- A guy was asleep in a dumpster, when a trash truck pulled up and dumped him and his trash mattress into the hopper. Several stops later, the driver heard someone calling for help from the back of his truck. By that time, he had turned on the truck's compactor "two or three times."
The guy was hospitalized with multiple fractures. "He is pretty lucky," they said.
Yep: homeless, sleeping in a dumpster, and being crushed half to death sounds awfully lucky.

Say it with me now....
'Is that a chicken up your jumper or are you just happy to be shopping?'

Annapolis, Maryland – The cops are looking for a few ugly women. Actually, the thieves are "very unattractive and obviously male," a police detective says. France – Two criminals thought it would be genius to break into a bank from a neighboring building, so they decided to drill through the wall so they could reach the bank's vault.

Derry, New Hampshire – Accident investigators say the car was airborne for 150 feet before crashing through the roof of the Donovan's house at three in the morning.
