- Χωρίς λόγια! - ΝΕΑ - Μέσα από το Διεθνές Internet

Αποσύρθηκαν τα χριστουγεννιάτικα δέντρα από το αεροδρόμιο του Seattle στην Αμερική, επειδή ένας ραββίνος διαμαρτυρήθηκε και ζήτησε να βάλουν δίπλα στο δέντρο ένα ίσου ύψους menorah και να γίνει τελετή ανάματός του (παρόμοια με το άναμα του χριστουγεννιάτικου δέντρου).
Οι υπεύθυνοι αρνήθηκαν αλλά για να μην δημιουργηθεί πρόβλημα αποφάσισαν να αποσύρουν και τα δέντρα:

After a long debate, the board of commissioners supported the airport management's decision to take down the trees and punt the issue into next year.

"We didn't have other cultures represented, and rather than scramble around and find representations of other cultures at this late date, we decided to take them down and consider it later," said Patricia Davis, head of the Port commission

"I felt we'd also have to put up Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish symbols. Where does it stop?" said Commissioner John Creighton.

Βέβαια οι υπάλληλοι του αεροδρομίου διαμαρτυρήθηκαν και τελικά -ενώ δεν ήθελαν οι υπεύθυνοι να γίνει θέμα- έφτασαν τα τηλεοπτικά συνεργεία και έγινε θέμα! (και καλώς κατά την γνώμη μου)
