The granite rocks at the top are melted, I've never heard that they are massively radioactive -- and more than just a single peak there is blackened, the upper area of the entire mountain range is also blackened (the Bible says that more than just God descended upon the mountain, there were many angels too) -- and don't forget that all the other evidence makes this a "package deal" for being the real Mt. Sinai, the giant split rock at Horeb, the Golden Calf altar, etc., etc.
