Η λίμνη κι ο ποταμός

Η Λίμνη η πεντάμορφη χρύσωσε τα νερά της
και άρπαξε τον Ποταμό στο σφιχταγκάλιασμά της

Μες τη σιωπή ερίγησαν οι ίσκιοι από τα πεύκα
και σαν Νεράιδα έγειρε το σώμα της η λεύκα

Πως τραγουδούνε οι καρδιές σ’ αυτό το πανηγύρι
και λούζεται ο έρωτας των λουλουδιών τη γύρη

Ο ποταμός ερωτικές ματιές στη λίμνη ρίχνει
και τρεμοσβήνουνε γλυκά των αστεριών οι λύχνοι

Απλώθηκε στον ουρανό μια θεία μελωδία
σαν δαγκωθήκαν οι ψυχές στα χείλη με μανία

Πως τραγουδούνε οι καρδιές σ’ αυτό το πανηγύρι
και λούζεται ο έρωτας των λουλουδιών τη γύρη

Πλημμύρισε από ηδονή το ιδρωμένο χώμα
κι η λίμνη και ο ποταμός
φιλήθηκαν στο στόμα
